In 1962, local Placerville residents got together and formed a nine-hole golf course called Cold Springs Golf Course. In 1978, the members hired golf course architect, Bert Stamps to design and build the second nine, which is now known as Cold Springs Golf & Country Club. Many of the holes in the below show the front nine on the top of the photo with the back nine finishing holes in the lower portion of the pohoto.
